The Dickens Fellowship
 February 7, 1812 – June
9, 1870
The Dickens
Fellowship
(www.dickensfellowship.org) was founded in London in 1902. In
1925, the Fellowship purchased 48 Doughty Street in London, home
of Charles Dickens from 1837 to 1839. The Dickens House Trust was
established to run the house as a museum and library and also
serves as the head office of the Fellowship. Currently there are
thirty-three Dickens Fellowship Branches located all over the
world and twenty-two Branches within the United States with
Raleigh, N.C., being the largest active branch in the world.
Through programs and activities arranged by Headquarters and by
the Branches, the Fellowship continues to project the spirit of
Dickens and his works, and to foster the highest standards of
scholarship in this field.
